In a beautifully rendered world where the savage world of the wild west meets the mystical realm of the supernatural you will find Pretty Deadly. This is the story of how a little girl comes to find out that she is Death incarnate, whether she wants the job or not.

From the start, with the skeleton bunny and the butterfly it is a little confusing, hell even a little broken at times. But Pretty Deadly Vol 1 does wrap a lot of seemingly different plot points into a beautiful conclusion. The use of mystical telling of fables and mythology blended with the graphics and superbly rendered action sequences make this a fun and entertaining read. Just remember that if you feel lost at a given point in time, it will make sense later.

This book started as a Meh... but ended on a Yeah! and was worth the price of admission in the end.
